1. Start the manufacturing of a stool

Arthur   Workshop Manager

Hello, we are going to start the manufacturing of a stool. Could you take the tablet and open the Shop Floor app and select the assembly line to view the 2 work orders ready to be started?

You

Right, I'll start production and follow the steps one by one, opening the instructions given in the info point  for each step.

To generate a serial number, remember to click on Generate Serial

Once you have completed all the steps for the first stool, you can close the production.

Do NOT start production of the second stool!

2. Handle a maintenance request

 Arthur   Workshop Manager

We have a problem! Our caliper seems to be broken.

You

Indeed, I'm not able to take any measures.
It's impossible for me to start the production of the second stool.

 Via the menu ,
I create a maintenance request

for the equipment caliper, type corrective.

After that, I have to stop the production.

Via the same menu, I block the work center by specifying the reason, and describing the problem.

Did you know?

Why do you need quality control?

You don't want to sell unstable stools! Quality controls ensure that products meet the standards set by the company. If a quality control fails, you can block the work center until the problem is solved. Or, you can decide that the problem is not blocking and create a quality alert. This alert will allow the problem to be addressed later.

Why create a serial number for the finished product?

A serial number is a unique identifier that contains all the information about the product's life cycle, from the origin of its components to its manufacturing and final destination. It allows for traceability.

Why take a picture of the stool?

Each final picture is unique and allows to prove that the product has been correctly assembled.
